University of Hong Kong won a scholarship in English Philology. Par examination comprised as general subjects party principles, 0.1inese and General English with Chinese Philology, an English thesis, the history of the English language, general phonetics, and old English as special subjects. It is understood that there were 45 competitors for this scholarship. Miss Lai Po Kan who is a teacher at the Belilios Girls School will probably go for further study either to Oxford or to London.
